I said to my friend that I would go over and visit him for a day sometime next summer. What's the best airline with cheap flights?

I have already looked at Aer Lingus €650!! No thanks! And Ryanair
was around €65. Not to bad I guess. But the flights were €0.49 and €9.99. The rest was charges and taxes. Is that the best I am going to get?

[I don't know the date yet. I just picked the middle of July 2008]

    Thanks.

More than likely will be your best bet to book with Ryanair but you might get lucky with a better price in one of their deals.

I was on Budget Travel. Clicked flight and typed the details in. When it came up for the flights with was with Aer Lingus. I am just after checking a flight on Aer Lingus now and it was €66 so I am wondering if I did something wrong on the other website lol.

You're always better off going directly to the airline website :)

€20-€30 in extra charges each way is standard on Ryanair, Aer Lingus are similar too.

Ryanair do sometimes have free flights without charges or €10/€15 including charges but they are only available for a very short time and are nearly always midweek only. They rarely do these offers for July/August anyway as it is the busiest season.

Try directly with airline websites, travel agents will rip you off

All you are paying for with Aer Lingus is an assigned seat!

Are you sure the 650 is to Birmingham, England (BHX) and not to Birmingham, Alabama?

Ryanair normally release the cheap seats closer to the date, around 4 weeks prior to departure, once they have a better idea of the loading etc

    Yeah, I sure. lol

I was on Budget.ie or something. But when I re done it on the actual Air Lingus website it was like about €60.

Maybe that included a hotel or something.
