destructive recovery

    Hi,
    I done a destructive recovery on my laptop which has windows xp. after doing it, there was no sound from speakers and it did not recognise my sound card. what could be wrong. thanks.

    Either use the disc that came with your machine or download it via the manufacturer (of the laptop) website. Is the soundcard showing up under Device Manager in Control Panel->System-Hardware?
