Are we being a little bold in assuming the little cats, big cats and girls all have legs?
The phrasing of the problem is a bit ambiguous, too. We are told there are seven girls on the bus, and that they each have seven bags, but not that the bags are on the bus, etc...

Also, I would be quite impressed if someone manage to fit 2744 cats on a bus. You would probably need to drug them so that you could stack one on top of the other.

I suppose this is why I prefer pure maths...

Not to mention the fact that there is no restriction regarding who or what else might be on the bus...
And how many legs are attached to the seats in the bus?...
...And, whereas there is an implication that the backpacks with the big cats are on the bus, there's not the slightest hint regarding whether or not the little cats are on the bus at all, only that they exist...
...And, shall we go on?
