Dell Laptop LCD issues

    Hi all,

I was thinking of pulling the trigger on a new Inspiron 1520. I've done some looking into it and it seems that there is a problems with picture quality on the LCDs - some say it's due to grainy screens, others to Truelife (which apparently looks like a mirror) and others still to the fact it's a low end 6-bit LCD panel.

Has anyone here seen similar problems on their vostro 1500/Inspiron 1520? Or have your LCDs been trouble free? I was thinking of the 1440x900 option.

have read a lot of the scare stories, but took plunge last week on a
vostro 1500 with the 1400x900 screen with truelife, have to say it looks
    stunning, no issues or complaints
