Cant see files on USB key

    Hi, I have a 512 usb Key and there is 470 mb of files on it with 20mb of free space. However when i open the folder for the USB key, i cannot see any of the files. I made sure to display hidden filew and folders aswell. I tried opening them through the software, e.g word , excel, PRO E, but that wont work either. Any ideas what the prob is?

    Try copying the files off the usb key from a command prompt and see does that work
    ie. (assuming E: is your usb key)
    start->run->cmd-> xcopy E:\*.* C:\Recovered
    And see do the files appear in the recovered folder.
    If not might need to get Get Data back or Recover My Files programs and give them a run on the usb key to pull off the info.

    have you tried using a different computer? this happened me before with an older usb key, and it worked fine on my desktop but never on my laptop?
