yeah there is just something about the look of WWII weapons, I ordered the MP40 being shipped atm & I was looking at the MG-42 (sexiest heavy machine gun ever made ) tho I'd have to give myself another pay increase at work to cover getting one lol :rolleyes:

I think the BAR was a horrible gun, jamming and slow rate of fire, stg44 all the way.
But i must admit that picture makes it look sexy.

You have no taste. The BAR was one of the definitive US weapons of WW2. As well as just being totally classic looking it was an excellent rifle. It did jam more often than an M1 but thats because it put an exponential amount more rounds through it's chamber every time it saw action than the M1 did.

BAR, FG42, PPSH. Three of the most definitive WW2 weapons, and also three of the sexiest.

its a real man's gun,stopping power .great rof ,and heavy as feck,the bipod alone weights in at the same weight of the rs desert eagle 6lbs

I'm not gone on the bipod being on it though. I can see it being practical alright but I don't like the look of the bipod on any gun if it has to attach to the barrel directly

ppsh, well suppose because of the battles it fought in suited it brilliantly but i doubt it would any use in open conflict, the BAR was a good support weapon but the stg44 was the first true assault rifle, larger clip less susceptible to jamming and was brilliant at close and mid range fighting. Maybe it didn't look as sexy but sure was effective german weaponry.
