Just a quick question. Maybe someone's had this problem before. I've been in the same job for 11 years, but am thinking of moving on - to somewhere else in the company. The problem is, I have to get a new, updated CV. But I don't have my leaving Cert Results. Can't find them anywhere. My question(s) are 1: If I ask HR, should they have my original CV on file? and 2: Is there anywhere I can get my results from - like the Dept of Education etc?

    Thanks

Think the days of putting leaving cert results on CV's are over??. Ive never put mine of my CV and have been at about 50 inteviews in the last 5-6 years....never been asked about, or even my college results??.

    I think just stating

    Education Details:
Leaving Cert 199X - Joe Bloggs School

    should suffice!!.

Wouldn't worry too much about it, though if your after your results you should be able to pull them from the Dept of Ed. Just give them your RSI number should do the trick

    or

Just lie about them.....tell the interviewer your the only person in Ireland to get 12 A's in honours and that you got sooo much A's that they couldnt fit them on a sheet of paper, hence the reason your haven't got them....:)

I've never put any results on my CV, it's not important.

To be fair though it depends on the job your going for.....some job application (esp gov and local gov and some semi states require them, sometimes even a copy of the cert.

Op you can get them from the dept of education, theyll send you out a certificate think its like 10-20 euro there or there about anyhow
