    Hi All

Anyone know of a freeware program for drawing diagrams of your network

i.e. small picture of computer then an arrow to a small picture of a server etc.

I've seen these network diagrams in powerpoint presentations, and they look very profressional.

    Thanks.

I tend to use Microsoft Visio for that kind of stuff.

But I think open office has this capability but without the fancy pictures like a PC or Servers.

There is Inkscape that I used about a year ago. I don't recall if it will suit you for network diagrams. But it does have some fancy pictures. Or it could of been EDraw that I used.

Sorry man, maybe someone else could help you. If you have time, install Inkscape and EDraw because I know one of them gets the job done to a decent presentation level. EDraw isn't free. :(

EDraw and SmartDraw both do the job pretty well. I know Smart Draw has a 30 Day trial, needs to be purchased after that. Just google them and you'll find them

I have used CADE http://www.weresc.com/network.php before, it's not as fancy as the others but it's freeware.
