    Hi people

I'm looking for get some old videos (like 1980s old!) copied and converted to DVD.

Just wondering where the best place would be to do this, and what kind of quality I could except?

    Thanks

Why dont you do it yourself? Buy a DVD burner with a harddisk, you can get one in Power City for €200.

Hook up your video to the dvd recorder and let it play whilst recording it the harddisk. After it has finished recording you can then edit it and then burn it onto a DVD.

I did it myself recently and the quality was better than I expected!

Thanks for the reply Branners - that's not a bad idea...

Main reason I was looking to get it done at a shop was (they're old horse-racing vids) and I would foresee possibly dozens of people I know wanting to get copies, from all over the city...

So, I figured if I got it done in a conveniently-located shop, they could keep a copy of every one, I could return all said vids to their rightful owners, and people could drop in at their leisure and order a set of the dvds?

That's how I imagined it anyway!

So, other than Branners idea - which is something I might look to do in future for personal use - anyone know the best place to do the above?

I used to work on Talbot street and there was a place there, anyone ever used it?

    Thanks...

Our minicompany in school converts VHS to DVD's, we're in Greystones, Co.Wicklow though.
Have a look at the website anyway Click here
