Ugly AK

Just to set the record straight from the outset I like AKs, but when I saw this on http://airsoft-news.eu/
I had to wince. Sometimes you can take RIS accessories too far and some AEGs should maybe not have any at all.

Scratches chin and thinks about a picatinny mount for a usb coffee mug warmer. I'm sure I could splice it into the AEG battery. Might only get a mag of bb's off but it'd keep my bovril warm of a winters day

I think its a scope magnifier but the point about feeling stupid still applies

Fabulous piece of engineering (pioneered by Germans, let us remember the MP44), and about as best a design for its purpose as you can get.

But there's just so many (reportedly, 30 millions made) everywhere all the time for the last few decades that it's just... a bit boring.

Whereas an M4, moderatly tricked out, can approach sexiness (HK 416 is getting there), an AK should always be left well alone - it's approaching sexiness enough of its own: to me, the end result of a RIS'd AK always looks a bit like a Jag Mk2 with a big spoiler, body kit, neons and a sports exhaust
