Have organised to get stuff forwarded by this girl. However, stuff has not arrived but feedback seems good.

Only five dollars to send stuff on seems like a bargain!!

Will let you know how it goes

I can recommend the following US mailbox, membership is $132/year

    www.myus.com

I looked everywhere for a pink Nintendo DS, then remembered that I had a membership, bought a limited edition Nintendo on Amazon and a bundle of stuff, 8 packages in all. iIt all weighted in at 22 lbs, so heres a breakdown of the charges.

    Weight Costs: $106.10
    Commercial Invoice: $8.00
    Insurance: $10.00
    Packaging: $12.00
    Total Charges $136.10

While shipping is not cheap, in total I spent around €400 on stuff, Nintendo plus game €100, runners €30, Jacket - €40 and more clothing, shoes... All these things if purchased in Ireland would easily set me back over €1000. I know I'll pay another €100 in shipping and probably €100-150 in duty but at the end of the day I'll still save money, I'll easily save over €400.

    Hi,

I ended up buy 5 different packages which I wanted shipped together. Got loads of stuff from Amazon and they shipped individually.

I got an email with options for postage and I picked the cheapest.

All stuff was neatly packed. It was delivered by an post (no duty).

She asked me what i wanted on the invoice and this is what she wrote.

I paid her by paypal and got a status email same day from paypal which I could use to check my package all the way to Ireland.

One very happy customer. Will use her again but first the credit card needs a diet.

Never mind mail forwarding from the US, is there a similar service from the UK to here?

Some online retailers offer free delivery in the UK but won't deliver here e.g. Screwfix, amazon.co.uk (electronics), play.com, etc. and it would be handy to have an intermediate who would ship the goods on to Ireland.

i used that US mail forwarding service that people have been talking about to order a pair of shoes. the woman sent me an address that they could be forwarded on to and then asked me to send details of where i wanted them sent. That was on 3-Feb. I sent an address on to her and I know that the shoes have been delivered to her address but she hasn't replied to any of my emails that I've sent over the last week. Have I been ripped off or do i need to just wait longer?

I posted on this before because I recommended her. Have gotten two packages to date.

She sent an email (looked like a circular) stating the offices were closed due to her sister being ill out of state and her having to leave urgently.

I emailed her and she responded to say she would be back on Monday.

Based on her price, its obviously a home business and no one expects a close family member to suddenly take ill, but I think she should have a backup system in place.

Send me a pm if you want me to forward the email she sent me.

she actually got back to me yesterday saying that she had been out of the state due to a family illness. she said she has a few orders lined up and it'll just take her a few days to catch up.

You're right though, a back up system would be a good idea but then you don't expect this sort of thing to crop up
