Compact Cameras - Newfangled Advanved Features... Face & Smile Detection?

I'm looking to buy a new compact Camera to replace my Canon Ixus 65. It's a great camera but it is awful in low light - very noisy, blurry and shaky. So I want something much better.

Originally I was thinking of the Fuji F31FD - due to it's high ISO (3200) so it should be good in low light, and also the Face Detection looks pretty useful, especially considering I will mostly use it on nights out taking pictures of people. However I saw it in a shop and it is pretty chunky, not the type of thing that fits in your picket without noticing. I want this camera for bringing out on nights out etc.

I bought Stuff Magazine and they say that the Sony T100 is the best compact camera out there at the moment. The T200 has just launched and it has much of the same but also has some nice features like a widescreen 3" screen, touch screen, and aslo "Smile Shutter Technology" where it only takes a photo when the person smiles. Is this just a complete gimmick or could it be usefull? What do you think of these new features?

This is a great list of features for the T200. Is this the best one or can anyone make any other recommendations?

    Thanks

But what if you want to take a picture of a clown?

rofl, you really have to hand it to marketing departments, they really know how to peddle bull**** to the masses. I'd imagine that particular enhancement would be about as useful as a wool condom.

Sorry about hijacking the thread but didn't want to bung up the forum with another post.
