My flatmate bought a 32" viewpia about 6-8 months ago. He bought it from a mate in the business.

He was told some employees from LG left, and set up Viewpia. It uses a lot of componets that LG use and it has an LG panel in it. My mate did not get it "calibrated".

My comments on it so far:

    Standard defination:
Is as you would expect from an LCD with the usual ghosting and pixel issues. DVD playing is very clear. DIVX and Mpeg playback is not great. Poor blacks and greys.

    Game Playing:
PS3 is amazing! Ridge Racer 7 has incrediabe scenery over HDMI. I think Ridge Racer 7 is 1080i so the Viewpia downscales it to 720 still looks awesome.

The XBOX 360 is flawless over component connections (Halo 3) must get him to try it on HDMI. I was impressed with it over the component settings.
Sound is not great, but adequate. We use seperate speakers and it works grand.

    Overall:
For games it is excellent, SD is a different issue, but most of the time it is grand, not great. But at that price it is a bargain (less then what my mate paid)

It really depends on your use of it. If you expect to play a lot of games on it then buy it, it is excellent. Very crisp and clear with either HDMI or Component connections. For watching SD it is as good as a more expensive Panel and that price is very tempting...

If you were to ask me if I would I buy one. My answer would be no, but thats because I have my eye on a Panasonic TH42PY70 €2000 is too much though
    :(

I got a Viewpia 37" lcd in DID Blanchardstown for €759 model No LC37ie12, a paddys day special awhile back.
It was setup next to much dearer big brand names & the picture quality was as good if not better, they have a phillips lcd panel..I even haggled them down from €90 to €50 for the 3yrs extra cover,..it comes with a box of cables/adaptors like hdmi to dv, phono & vga cable for use as a pc monitor.
Very pleased with it so far & no problems at all.

    Yeah, they seem pretty good.

I would definitely buy one over the likes of Beko or any of it's ilk.
