The missus is thinking of getting a 2nd hand (03-04)Hyundai Getz probably 1.1 sport

Does anybody know if they are good

They're not too bad for the kind of money they go for. A couple of points:
The 1.1 is nippy for its size,
none of the models get remote locking,
Dashoard is very solid for a Hyundai
Reliability is above average, very few common faults.
Safety is average.
All have ABS and dual airbags.
Sport was based on the CDX model AFAIK.

All in all not a bad car if you get one at the right price

A decent effort by Hyundai at a supermini runabout. They are very well equipped for the money. Electric windows allround and sunroof, etc I think as standard.

A bit light on the road but definately worth a look.

the sunroof and fogs weren't on the base model - now called "Classic"
these base models are very rare however.

make sure wipers clean screen properly,if you can get one at the right money,its a grand car for tipping about town.
