Does anyone know of any decent clubmakers in the greater dublin area...

looking to get shafts put on, spined, some butt extensions, butt trims, also some adjustments to lie and loft angles on my irons...I have all the specs I need adhered to just don't know of anyone that does this...

heard fore golf do it but also heard that they are very expensive....

I've used Fore Golf extensively over the years and found them excellent and not overly expensive. With them you are paying for the whole service, availability of sample clubs, fitting expertise, analysis equipment etc. If you have all the specs and just need the mechanical processing, they might do you a good rate. Give them a call and ask!!

    Cheers Joe,,

I'll give them a shout and see what it would cost...

do you know from your experiance what a custom fitting would cost there...just for the lie/loft adjustments

It's probably close to €100 now. My son had one last year but he is an annual visitor - the curse of the growing teenager - and I did an all inclusive deal. I got a full set of custom fit clubs nearly 3 years ago now but I can't remember what the custom fit element cost. If you talk to them, it's a family business, they will work out a deal to suit your requirements. Word of warning, the first time I used them 6 or 7 years ago, I went in to get a set of irons adjusted and left having ordered 2 new woods and a driver. I was delighted with the results but didn't like my next cc bill!!

There's a guy at the driving range in Celbridge who can make you up custom clubs. My mate got a set from him this year and has been very pleased with them.
