N4 Traffic This Morning

    Hi,

    Does anyone know why traffic coming in the N4 was so heavy yesterday morning and this morning ?

    It was crazy this morning. Last 3 days have been the worst I have seen in a long time.I dont know if it was to do with the M50 Roadworks. I tried the Lucan Strawberry beds and it was as bad, took over two hours to get from Lexlip to Cabra.:mad: :mad: :mad:

    I was going the opposite direction Tuesday morning @ 08:20, the queue at the Newcastle Rd lights was longer than usual. could see no additional roadworks anywhere.

    Listen to Dublin City FM in the mornings so at least you know how bad its going to be. 103.2FM I think.

    Pretty simple this one... It has been wet... More people take their car when it rains rather than get public transport.

    the strawberry beds is bit of an enigma....some mornings your qued up from beyond the M50 overhead and other mornings you cruise right up to the anglers rest....Iv been using that route to get to work for about 5 years now and I have to say its getting worse every year.

    Worst traffic I ever experienced was when that turf truck turned over on the M50 roundabout....took nearly 3 hours to get to work...but i also heard that as the traffic was being diverted down the liffey valley slip from the N4 the Traffic corps were doing Tax and Insurance checks!!!!
