    2008 BIG SLICK EVENTS

Due to problems beyond my control we have to move dates for next year , The dates for the Waterford open 2008 now are the week after the Irish Open as this is the only time available to me at the moment .

We will also be moving the I.S.O.P in September to a new venue but all the rest will stay the same . Plans are to bring this nationwide and International at the moment . Limerick/Dublin/Carlow/North Border all in mind

From the events that al at blonde were at our expenses exceeded our budget and this was due to the food costs over 3 days . This is why we will have a slight change in the reg costs so that we can easily afford the food bill over the 3 days at all festivals .

Apologies if this causes any inconvienience

    Neill K

    Neill,

I really hate the idea of playing 2 starting days for a 500 event, it breaks the field and means more time of for hobby players from work etc. It will really effect the overall numbers and makes the event far to long for pro players.

I'm currently making a lists of live events to play for next year and I'm avoiding any event that takes more than 3 days from start to finish, the only exception been the IO and WSOP.

If you can only fit 250, play it with 250 etc. Also the prize money for a 4 day event of 500 is not big enough for pro players to take that time.

just my 2 cent or feedback given in a positive manner.

I agree with Ollie here and the game coming a week after the IO I think it will be an achievement to get 250 runners

Neill i think the week after the irish open will be a disaster for this, i know the ME is 4.5k but they have some others that a lot of ppl will play just for the IO atmoshpere, also 2 days ones is a bad idea
