Sun holiday alone.

    Hi Folks,

I am hoping to book a cheap week or two in the sun in the mid-late January '08 timeframe. Not looking for anything fancy, just the opportunity to lie on a beach and chill out for a few days. I guess that my options are restricted to the Canaries or North Africa.

The main issue for me is that I wish to travel alone. I have in the past been on a number of lads holidays or holidayed with ex-girlfriends in these resorts and they don't appear to cater for the solo traveller. I know it's a bit sad to contemplate a solo sun holiday but '07 has been a tough year for me and I just want to spend some time relaxing.

Have any of you undertaken a sun holiday alone? Which resort best suited your requirements and what operator did you use? I would appreciate your input as all of the offers I have seen to date are based on the premise of two persons sharing. (I'm a 30 y.o. male if this informaton is relevant).

    Thanks in advance!
