Going to the campsite next May, just wondered if any-one has been there that time of the year. Is there much happening, entertainment ect. Is there much to visit off camp? Places to eat, is it expensive ect?Thx.

Yes, I was there back in June 1996 and I though it was the best campsite I'd ever been to.
Bar/Disco, loads of pools, great site. Karting nearby, beach is great. Mountains are close.

    Hope it helps! :)

It's close to Argles and a number of other towns, there isn't an Irish pub in Argles but when I was there last year I was surprised by the amount of seasonal clubs/bars on the beach - it looks like fun!

I've never been there but I'm pretty sure that there isn't an Irish bar in town. You almost never find Irish bars in small towns but do find English ones scattered around the south-west of the country from time to time. Bordeaux for example has a population of almost 250,000 and 3 Irish bars.

In saying that, there are a lot of bars in Argelès-sur-mer and unlike the Irish places, won't charge you €6 a pint :)

Get yourself info the car and drive down to Collioure on the coast road to Spain.
    http://www.collioure.com/gb/index-gb.htm
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collioure

Also drive to Le Perthus on the border (just exit the motorway) for cheap drink and 'duty-free' stuff.
In Spain itself, Barcelona is only about a 3hr (or less) drive.
