With season 5 fast approaching I was thinking of putting together a recap of the previous 4 seasons.

It be something like for example the weekly lost/prison break/24 thread but we would have a season thread.

So each week there would be a synopsis of the season and general discussion (probably just get it from the HBO website)

Spoiler information will be given at the start of each thread ala the weekly lost/prison break/24.

What do people think?

Sounds like a good idea,might get some discussion going and might make some people,including myself, rewatch each season as we are discussing it!

Havent looked at them all but yeah thats the kind of thing I'd be looking to post

I think you'd run into the risk of spoiling the show for any newbies who haven't already gotten into it.
That youtube clip pretty much recaps all the twists and turns of season one and, speaking for myself, I'd be pissed at seeing it prior to having watched the series.

Just my €0.02.

Think it's a good idea -there's a lot of characters and a lot of events to recall.

As I said at the start I'll put a sticky up like what’s in the lost/prison break/24 forum regarding spoilers and each thread will open with a warning clearly indicating what is going to be discussed and turn away if you dont want it ruined. I'll put the sticky up later on today

Great Idea, for discussion and to jog our memories . I'm in the middle or re-watching all 4 seasons (Just finished 1st) before the final begins. I wouldn't worry about ruining it for newbies, it'll be their own fault for reading threads marked with

same here i'm on series 3 at the mo, i wish series 4 wud hurry up and come out on dvd, i have them on mt mac but this one show i don't mind shellin out the 70 yo-yo's for

on another note heres hopin HBO make the same mistake the did with series 4

Was it season 3 when we saw Rawls in the gay bar?
They better develop that further in season 5.
That was the most shocking thing in the Wire so far (besides Stringer Bell getting whacked) - I wasn't expecting it at all.
