Hi Folks, as soon as I hit apply the game crashes with "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error".

    Any ideas?
Running 3.2GHz processer with 2GB ram and a NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS with 256MB

    Thanks

There is a known issue with Realtek drivers. Updating them to the latest has solved this for others.

You could run DXDIAG (Start -> Run -> DXDIAG) and see if it passes the Directdraw/3d tests.
If not then reapply the latest video drivers.

EDIT - Or you could do what Spear says :)
