    Hi all,

quick question - does anyone know of evening classes/part time studies in IT/basic programming/general computer knowledge? (I don't mean "Word for Dummies" or "This is a mouse and you use it to click things"-type classes, rather a proper background into how things work - the GTI has an interesting full-time course in Information Technology, but full-time studies are not an option for me...So I'm looking for something similar, but maybe not as comprehensive, and part-time...

    Any pointers welcome!

    Cheers
    galah

would also love to join such a course, I need a change in career & cant afford to give up work.

    www.fas.ie

there are a few online course, & & I think they had evening classes in computer repair elswhere in the country, perhaps if we show they could fill a class they might be able to put it on in Galway.

    Hi everyone,

thanks for the replies! I already checked the GMIT, but there was nothing of interest... I'll look into the FAS courses, and see if there's anything, and then maybe get a group together and put the pressure on ;-)

    Cheers

Update - I just checked the Open University courses in the UK, and they seem to have a vast offer of IT courses...I guess virtual study it is..;-)
