Alryt all ... bit of help woth this.

Gf's birthday coming up and I promised here a weekend away in either cork or wexford (don't ask).

Now, I'm looking at B&B prices and the like - but where would a decent spot be for two 19 y.o's for the 2 nights? Probably settling on Cobh (direct train nd all :D)

Any ideas of places to go etc while there? Not rly in the mood for going out and getting locked for the two nights, can do that at home.

If it's Cobh, then you could take a trip to Fota Wildlife Park.

Don't know how many animals would be up for anything this time of the year though.

I suspect the little lemurs would still rob you blind if you put your stuff down regardless of the weather/time of the year, still at least they manage to look cute while they do it....

I wouldn't settle in Cobh if your planning on staying for 2 nights especially if you want to be kept occupied as it's a tiny town with feck all to do!!!
Why don't you stay in Cork City? Train station is in the city centre and there are plenty of B&B's near the train station!! If you want to see Cobh then you can get the train it's only a few minutes down the road!!!

not Cork or Wexford, but the lake hotel in Killarney is great and it has an amazing view. Lots of things to do in the area as well.

Stay in cork city great place for the weekend. In wexford id only go to kilmore quay but its very small so a different type of break. Kilarney while over done is always good if its not pissing rain but at this time of year i wouldnt go.
