Not all bugs I know but not the kind of things you run into when having dinner at home..have to say the preying mantis is one weird bug but crazy all the same..as for hermit crabs, they have to be one of the funniest creatures on earth, again any comments welcome especially on dark and light

The eyes on the preying Mantis are mental, i didnt realise until i loaded the pics that even when i was behind him and his head fixed forward both eyes pupils were firmly fixed on me - you can sort of see what i mean in this one...you should see the speed he moved at also, if he was any bigger there was no way i would go near him...even the thais were freaked out by him

Love the pose in the first one, as has been said the eyes are mad, the first one look like he's going to smack you one. What lens were you using?

first one and fourth were taken with a P&S (Canon G7), having that allowed me to leave the 100mm at home and the macro feature on it is excellent
