Varied Sunsets Of Thailand

Just a few shots to show the huge variation in sunsets you can get graced with in Thailand, most of these are from Ko Lanta on the Andaman sea...Landscapes and sunsets are not really my thing but its hard not to pull the camera out for scenes like these

Any comments welcome, especially from anyone with a calibrated monitor my setup at the moment cant be trusted too much so anything to point me in the right direction would be welcomed

Lovely shots, well done, the only slight criticism I would have is that one or two of the horizons need a little levelling.

Looks to be a beautiful part of the world, show us more.:D

beautiful shots, did you use any filters taking them?

used a grad ND filter on first and fourth I think buit didnt make too much difference as the horizon was so low to the foreground that I would have needed a few more in the setup for them to really work - it was possible on those shots because the sun had just gone or was blocked by the clouds...

nilhg..which horizons in particular..I will look at sorting them when I get a chance, im blind to them now..if you want to see more thailand pics I have been more than snap happy here...to the point of giving my clicking finger artritis and most of the photos are on http://www.thetrueview.com/php/index.php or on my flickr...

I guess anywhere in the Krabi region, you are spoiled for choice for good photo opportunities. The great thing is both day and night, you are bound to come accross some special location. Phi Phi Islands are exceptional. Bangkok is good for street scenes too.

Just one question.... Why are you coming back to this god awful place we call Ireland? :rolleyes:

The second one was the one which struck me.

Had a quick look through your site, you have been busy..... I will have a proper look tonight but on first impressions it looks great.

I'm going out to Oz through Malaysia (just a two day stopover), in a few weeks, you're making me sorry I didn't take more time and see a bit more of SE Asia.

Just one question.... Why are you coming back to this god awful place we call Ireland?

The long and short of it is we dont plan on coming back for a few years yet...this trip was just a holiday before hitting to Oz/NZ for a year or two and then try make it back over land through asia. Its then the real work will begin, this trip was handy just to test the water on what kind of kit is suitable for that...

I hear you too on the whole Krabi region, just got back to bangkok from Krabi, weather wasnt great but thats why the next time I come back it will be in the middle of the high season...nothing worse than being somewhere beautiful with awful weather

Thanks too nilhg, you definitely need to come to asia..huge number of people do thailand after oz and anyone who does it on the way over always come again on the way back;)
