    Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone could help me out here, I have my AM theory test next Thursday morning and just wondered if the books that I always see about in Easons etc are sufficient study material to help me pass? Are they more oriented towards the B test or should they cover both?

I've taken the sample test on www.soyouwanttodrive.com five or six times now, and passed every time, getting all the questions right on the last three try's, but figure that that particular test is out of date at this stage, the rest of the site seems to be anyway.

Also, are there any other things I should look out for in the exam, I don't really fancy failing after spending €36 on it!

hey, iv my theory test coming up soon and I've been looking around.
The theory test now contains specific motorcycle questions, like naming the locations of parts of the bike, selecting the picture of a correct stance if stopped at lights, what are the power restrictions for bike learners etc.

I don't recall seeing any bike q's on that sites test (i could be wrong , or mixing it up with the test on irishmotoring.ie!)
but to answer your question, the theory test book should be enough to pass the test as it contains all of the potential questions!

    Good luck! :)

Got the CD today, its a great help and specifically seperates the different tests. I passed my first four trial tests so I'll keep chugging away and hopefully be alright by next Thursday.

In relation to the test? or in relation to reality?

For the test - your position shouldn't change when you're behind any vehicle - you just always be just to the left of the centre of the road, corners the same except for junctions where you're taking a left or right turn - you should position yourself as close to the left / right as possible.

In reality as above but just stay a bit further back from a truck than a car, it allows you room to manouvre if they decide to take a turn off the main route.

I assume you know don't filter during your test.
