Seamus is havin' a superduper sat for the IPC (Galway January 3-6 2008) in Caesars Palace, New Ross, Co Wexford.

Date: Friday the 7th December
Time: 8pm Kick Off
Stack: 12,000
Clock: 30 Mins
Blinds: 25/50 50/100 75/150 100/200 150/300 200/400....
Cost: €200 (+20)
Type: HE Freezeout

Prizes: 1 Package for every 2,500 in the prizepool - Package is 2k ticket plus stay in the Radisson in Galway & expenses.

I would expect 3 packages + (40+ runners)

just to say well done to nemo on his win in the macau side event of course he sucked out on the river with a 2 outer but hey they all count and seamus has been running well of late and was due a result and i wiil be there on friday seamus:D

18 runners last night - lots of "i'll be there" muppetts weren't, so the prizes were a 2500 package, 700, and 400

things started out well for me, i got to witness THEIRISHMOB CRAI with QQ on a K high flop (he's the guy in tony's quack quack quack thread)

...this silly move led me to obv slowroll aces (heeeheee!)

We had a large waterford contingent, all pro's, well done to kakak who finished the best of them in 10th place (people like pat,nicky and george should know better than thinking they can FT here)

so to cut a long story short, i got busted in 3rd, i sorta knew it was comming...i was absolutely card dead and retard1 and 2 were openshoving everywhere and proudly showing the likes of A3 and QJ...so i trapped in the SB with AT (lol serious) and called the obv push of 17 BB's, he actually had a hand: 66 which was good and I was crippled

the funny thing was that they both were just happy to not bubble and didn't even think about the payouts...the hand after i was out they did some funny deal splitting the cash and the ticket (god only knows how!)

so off to the cash table where i called a small bet on a Qs3s2x board with the monster that is 64o...turned the nuts and got it all in 3 ways for a nice pot of over 1k (implied odds ftw!!)

then i went home @ 7am a little bit less pissed off and am in work (lol!) since 8.30

i played in this last night and the standard of play was bad, for example im utg with 99 i raise to 700 (blinds 100,200) folded around to the small blind who reraises to 5,500 i fold and he shows aces

wow 3rd great result, I three barrelled thr wrong customer with 4 2 on an AKQXX 3 flush board board having raised pre, he stayed all the way with A9. then talked a right donkey into calling my remaining 6k AJ push with A rag
