Enjoyed it as well. PBF comes across as a right tool, there's a lot to admire about Ricky

why does mayweather have to act like he does,if he acted like he does with his kids he'd be alot more popular.

and that's exactly the point . Mayweather could have a lot more fans if he acted respectively.........but you don't need fans to sell fights you just need people wanting to watch . In his case it's easier to get more people to hate you than to like you and because of this he plays the role of a jackass so that people tune in hoping to see him knocked out .

It is all an act , which he is very good at portraying and is on most of the time . However if you have seen the De La Hoya v Mayweather 24/7 series you will notice he is very respectful and nice to his doctor(who only has complimentary things to say about him . This I suspect is how the man really is , some people are assholes because they're assholes(James Toney) , some peoples are assholes because it makes them rich(Floyd) .

thats the disappointing thing though it's not an act he's actually like that,I understand you need a good cop bad cop to sell a fight but thats his character,he doesn't act like that to sell ppv's.
An example of this is even when the camera's were off with hatton he was still the same he's so talented we can all see that but why does he have to tell us all the time.

It might be a cultural thing I don't think it is, even Americans think he's over the top with his behavior.
He's under the impression that he was the big draw in his fight against DLH,DLH was the reason that the ppv broke records not Floyd.

I pity him more than want to see him knocked out,I think floyd is the Michael Jackson of boxing, amazingly talented but mentally unstable

No offence pal but i think thats a ridiculous comment,he is playing an act, portraying the big hip hop hard man.He is clearly not unstable but very cocky and why the hell not with his record. He is not the greatest ever but he believes he is and as others here have said he sells tickets and we all need a bad guy to dislike. We all cheer hatton because we thin k he is a nice guy etc and seems down to earth but if pbf was like that what kind of interest in the fight would there be.why would the non boxing public shell out 50 dollars to watch two guys that everyone thinks are nice guys, the boxing public wont make this fight a profit, its the casual sports observer who needs a villian and a hero.

I agree, he is just playing up for the camera's and does not know if there on or not, the other part of it is that he is trying to get into ricky's head-mind games(a fair tactic in pro boxing) Ali always done it, puts doubts in opponents head or makes them fight angry instead of fighting smart playing into floyds hands..and he did have a strange upbringing so he's hardly going to be perfect is he-the way he is with his kids shows more about what the man is like, caring to the people that matter.

you think it's ridiculous,he must be the best acter in the world if he can keep that up.if you read what I posted instead of the first few lines I said I understand why you need a good guy bad guy to sell a fight he's so good at doing it because he's actually like that.
Floyd is not a very secure person thats not his fault thats his upbringing, blame his father not him.

i dont know nor do you what kind of person he is,so lets just put that to bed.He portrays himself on tv in a certain way,as do most but we cant assume he is off his rocker.Less of the amateur psycho analysis here.He is a great boxer who grates most with is attitude, its crazy to say that makes him insecure as a person.

where did i say that what makes him insecure as a person is the upbringing he had I wasn't basing it on how he acts infront of the cameras.
