    Hey there people,
I’m looking to invest in some new boots and figure this is the place to get some good advise from.

This is the kinda style I’m after,

I’m told there called Chelsea boots, or along those lines.
I wear skinny jeans (or drainpipe if you will) and can only seem to wear converse or other such tight shoes with them, so I’m really looking for not only a nice stylish boot, but something that’s friendly with skinny jeans.

I also really like the heels with them, if that matters.

So any advise (tips and places to find em) from you trendy fashionable people would be very cool.

Oh and please, no haters. If you don’t dig the style I’m into, please don’t hate. :D

I don't hate you, I'm just worried you're going to look like an idiot.

for the love of all things that are sane, please do not buy pair number 2.

number 2 has a way to femine heel with them, number 1/3 are better.

hmm, you really have to have a distinct style to pull these off, fair play if you can...

they have some on the Schuh website, so I'd check out their stores
they tend to have a pretty wide range for guys

as mentioned 1 or 2 are ok, but 3 are not. they are womens shoes. any shoe from a goth and fetish shop is not really what I'd call fashionable.

I have a pair OP, but I got them in England.

IIRC, I've seen Chelsea boots (or similar) in BT2 or BT before. Don't think they had the cuban heel as in pic 2.

@Mordeth. If the OP wanted a f*cking tribunal on chelsea boot usage, he would have said so, wouldn't he?

DocMartens do a neat chelsea boot in black. It's a simple, durable shoe, and ought to carry enough rock 'n' roll cred for your purposes. Shoe shop in the alley between the Ha'penny Bridge and Temple Bar Square carry a good selection of Docs, so I think that'd be a good place to start.
would heed the comments of posters here, OP, regarding your selection. Happy foot-tappin

My boyfriend wears similiar boots to these, also with skinny jeans. He has a lovely distresses brown pair with red leather in-soles, made by a Spanish brand called Losquienos, stocked only in Neola, a boutique in Malahide, Co. Dublin. €130, absolutely gorgeous.

Alternatively, River Island have a great selection of mens' boots this season in different styles and leather finishes. They range from €80 to about €120 and they can all be seen on the website- www.riverisland.com

Office also have a rather good range, but you'll have to go looking for them on the website- they're not categorised into a "Boots" section, unfortunately.

    Happy shopping!

Thanks fashion peeps for the cool advise.

Ok, the second picture, looks extremely feminine, hell I even think it’s a woman’s boot! But fear not people, I was using the image as a reference so chill out.

Phasers, cheers for the link to Schuh, they have a decent enough range so I’ll being paying them a visit.

Stovelid, also cheers for pointing me in the right direction, and for defending my style choice, you’re a diamond.

Howaya, I think the store your thinking of is china blue, gonna check that place out, cheers bro.

And SexyD4Lady, some sound advise from yourself there, it’s always nice to get a woman’s opinion on these things.

    .

It's just the cuban heel. I may be wrong, but it just looks like a classic 60s's chelsea boot...if it was good enough for John Lennon....:)

M&S do them in their Autograph range, wouldn't go for your perfect boot simply because heel being so big makes it look a bit tom cruiseish. Most fashion designers do Chelsea boots and you'll be able to get them in most high street stores

This thread is almost certainly dead. But **** it, BEATLE BOOTS ARE AWESOME.
    I love cuban heels.
