Anyone who is good at photoshop would be able to help you.

Professionally though, I do not know where you could find such a service.

Photographically I could see a great image - a photo being created with one half the scenary of Ireland and the other Australia, two sides reaching out to one another across the distance ;) but that's not what you have in mind I guess.

You could try a collaboration between two prefessional photographers, one here and one there, and both studio based. With a bit of organising, two groups could be taken with identical plain backgrounds (white?) with one photographer taking the left side and the other taking the right, both taking in to consideration that the pair would be collaged together afterwards. You could also consider front row and back row. With the white background, this would allow a scenic background to be inserted afterwards if required.
It could be an interesting project for two willing photographers and could set a precedent for future projects that could prove innovative and potentially a financial adventure. Expect to pay heavily though, two professional studio sessions and several hours on photoshop,

    David

I'd do it for you for the cost of the airfare, which would probably work out less than the above. :D;):p

I think that could make a fantastic shot.

But I'd guess you'd need someone (in fact two people!) who could "see" the image and also have skills to photoshop it together.

I can see the image, just need the other photographer :p

Tbh, though, we'd certainally need a bit of sunshine here to get it to work.

There's quite a few possibilities, from blending the 2 backgrounds together, to just using a white background, to diptych's and so on.

would it not be as simple as taking one shot (e.g. the Ireland half), with the studio set up as described above and sending this to Oz and using that as the basis for the other shot?
Even Photoshop Elements 6.0 can combine the two pix then

Even I can merge them (with my woeful photoshopping skills)...but to make it look natural wouldn't be that easy I would have thought?

I was thinking of outdoor shot instead of a studio one (the shot becomes less personal when you have a plain background)...

It could be if you wanted it to be, but there's a lot more potential there.
