    Hey Guys....

I'm trying to burn music onto a CD, but my laptop won't let me do it. It keeps saying that the device has been installed but the driver cannot be found. A Code 41 keeps appearing and I haven't a clue what that's about. Anyone out there who knows what I have to do?? :):)

If you are getting a code 41 error that means that windows has the driver but it can't find the device. You might want to try updating the driver.

I tried that and it went looking, but all it told me was that there's wasn't an update better than what's on mine....??? any more advice?

You could have an incorrect driver intalled. Try uninstalling the driver and then updating it.

I had a similiar problem with my laptop a while back where is just wasnt "seeing" the CD/DVD drive even though I could eject it and it was spinning when I inserted a disk.
All I did was physically remove the CD/DVD drive (removed one screw from under the laptop) while the laptop was powered down!!!, rebooted the laptop without the CD/DVD drive, then switched off and reinserted the drive, switched on and that was it.

I was thinking it may have been disconnected myself but figured it would be best and make sure it wasn't something wrong with the driver first.
