Got McAfee with a few Dell PCs but never renewed the subscription. They are trying to win my custom back, but iv no interest. Maybe someone here might want to try?

Complete waste of money imo,when you get great antivirus programs like avg,avast,spybot search and destroy for free

Not one to bash a bargain but as Squall points out free anti-viruses are just as good. However - another thread posted last week is a better deal - Kaspersky Intenet Suites for 2 years only £20 - that is a bargain!

I warned one of my brothers against buying a mcafee discount. Unfortunately I was too late for the other brother. He was offered some deal for a year through the broadband provider and pressed 'I agree'.

He now has firewall and virus protection etc etc, but also his year old laptop now takes about 10mins to load XP at startup, cannot access his wireless network and has a trojan virus which mcafee says it can't remove........

A lot of those "freebie" internet suites are ****e compared to Kasper Sky and NOD32.

Its an offer, no matter how ****e the program is. I dont use it, but someone may love it. Perhaps its of use to them?!
