We are having a terrible time trying to get Dell to take action over a printer they sold us and is still within warranty. They brought a "serviced stock" replacement which also failed to work and now they are delaying replacing that one.

Their customer complaint department is in the UK and is only reachable by post (i.e. no phone number and no email). Does anyone know of a quicker way to lodge a customer complaint with Dell?

Did you ring 1850 543 543 thats there tech support number, quote the service tag off the printer and see what happens.

man i used to work for dell on tech support. don't bother speaking to the agents if you have problem. call the above number. give your STag and immediatly ask to speak to a floor manager or supervisor. they now Dell policies better and will ba ble to clear the issue faster. Tell them you have gone through the trouble shooting steps at a previous stage and demand a replacement

    hope this helps

We've done all that and have had "engineers" out three times. They supplied a heap of crap replacement (Dell policy NOT to replace with new model) at five on a Friday afternoon and that packed in straight away. Still waiting for a replacement one week later (we even have next day service contract, next day my....)

thats terrible man, i also know what it feels like to be a customer of dell. we have one of there **** printers (HP tend to be far superior)
If i was still working ther i would get that sorted for you man. but i cant think rite now of what to do.

The only thing i can suggest which you have probably done is to call customer service (http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/emea/shared/support/dellcare/en/byphone_ord?c=ie&l=en&s=gen)

Dont allow them to hang the phone on you. explain your case clearly and dont let them fob you off. The only thing i recommend in my experience in dealing with support guys is being persistant.
Also CService should be able to email you a customer complaint form AFAIK

    Let me know what happens
