Hi, I have received some spam emails in my webmail spam box from what appears to be my own email address.

It appears so because the sender is my exact address but in inverted comas .. say "johndoe@hotmail.com"

As a test i have already sent myself an email. In this case the sending address (i.e. me) does not appear with the same inverted comas in the sender field. It appears as johndoe@hotmail.com

Has my email addres been hijacked to be used to send on spam mail ?

Is there any way I can verify this

Most Spam is sent from faked From: addresses.

Does not mean your computer sent it or that your computer is infected.
