    Got a quote for €8500 to do the following in a 2800sq ft dormer new build;

    All labour only:
    Dry line inside of external walls with thermoboard - upstairs and down
    Fit Rafterloc to roof pitch
    Thermoboard over rafters
    Slab ceiling upstairs and downstairs
    Bridging of internal walls to ceilings as required.

    The guy came recommended through another tradesman so probably a decent quote but probably a bit more than I expected (not that I'm an expert!).

    He reckons, its about 2 weeks work for 5 men.

    Does this look to be in roughly the right ballpark?

    Thanks Bakerbhoy - sounds like my quote is in the right ballpark - maybe even a good price.
    I dont know what I was expecting at the outset but I'm shocked at this stage with my insulation materials and labour bill probably going to come in around the 20-25k mark - keep telling myself it will pay itself off!

    I'm a builder and recently dry lined a 3200 sq. ft house with Kingspan backed plasterboard on all external walls and around door/window jambs. Included in the price was 'Tri-sor' insulation on 2"x1" battens.
    Quote including materials was €6,500. Job completed. Made a profit.
    I don't know what part of the country you guys are in but it must be close to Dublin.

    Where was the Tri-Iso put Builder - on the walls as well?

    Hi Builderfromhell

    Can I ask how many men and how long did it take to do the drylining part of the job?
