writing a client advice letter

hey iv been reading this board for some time but have only just registered now, i'm a first year law student, having decided to go back to college after some years working and traveling. my first assignment which is worth a % of my end of year marks in that subject is to write a client advice letter, unfortantly i missed the lecture where how to write said letter was actually covered, through no fault of my own!!

so my assignment is to write a client advice letter, no more than 2000 words on a topic basically to do with the law of public nuisance. so iv read some books on the law of public nuisance, aswell as the accompanied reading material to do with the scenario, and iv looked at a format on how to write the letter.

my letter has only come to 1000 words, which im going to go out on a limb and say that despite the fact it says im not to go over 2000 words, i should be trying to get fairly near to this word count as i can.

does anyone have any advice as to which texts would be best to read, and what would be the key points to include in such a letter, and possibly a definitive layout of what a client letter is supposed to look like?

    thanks in advance.
