Little Help?

I quite desperately wanted to do English in Trinity, but missed out pointswise and ended up with single honours History. It's an enjoyable course but my heart really is in English. If I pass the year in History, is there any way I can switch to English next year? Anyone?

Probably not unless the points drop and you re-enter, I'm afraid :(

Your tutor is the one you should be talking to about this. There may even be a way for you to switch currently if people have dropped out of the course.

Points are still an issue Boston. However, it has happened in the past that people have switched into courses with higher points, but they've clamped down on it majorly since I started college.

I couldn't see it happening in engineering for example, but you never know with these odd little trinity departments and their quirky ways. You always hear about a friend of a friend who was able to transfer. Tutors should know the story.
