All channels are broadcast on UHF from threerock and always have been since Threerock was first used for TV transmission in 1978.
    All four channels are working as usuall on The following UHF channel Numbers : RTÉ One - 29; Network 2 - 33; TV3 - 35; TG4 - 55

Kippure is the nearest transmitter to have RTE1 and 2 on VHF so possibly you are thinking of it, but TV3 and TG4 are working away as usuall on it today too. Spotted one of the RTEs on VHF yesterday as well when I was tuning in a TV yesterday so all is normal there!

I can't see them dropping any analog channels from any transmitter until after DTT is established to replace it which will hardly before 2011 at the very earliest! Doubt they would bother changing over to UHF either! And if they were turning off or moving anything they would let people know.

They were there on Three Rock yesterday afternoon, unless there was a glitch after that. I moved house recently and just set up the DTT box as I don't have NTL now. Thank goodness for DTT! At least I can get the regular channels in clearly... (but did have VHF/UHF versions of all for the first 30 mins :D )

RTE VHF TV from Kippure was off for a while yesterday afternoon, perhaps they are doing some work on the masts, Three Rock last week, Kippure this week.
