    This is an unusual thread.

Does anyone know of any sports or clubs looking for members? I'm 24 and fairly fit (I do get a good bit of exercise) but I'm bored and would like to do something sporting and social?

If anyone has any leads please let me know.

All sports clubs love getting new members!

    Where you located OP??
What kind of sports interest you/you like watching??

Hard to answer... every sport is social really. However if you're looking for a nice sport, that doesn't necessarily require tremendous levels of fitness, where there's a lot of sitting around having chats, and is also quite reflective in itself, I'd recommend cricket.

    Unfortunate time of year though.

Otherwise, I don't think I know any sports clubs not looking for members.

Skiing and snowboarding are good sports for this time of year. The Ski Club welcomes new members. See www.skiclub.ie for more info.

Thanks, in fact, Im going skiing at the end of the month.

I guess in Ireland you just ski on artificial slopes?

Yeah, there's not much snow to be had around these parts unfortunately! The Ski Club has only ski slope in Ireland. If you are going skiing and haven't been before it is a good idea to get lessons before you go. That way you will get more out of your holiday and won't have to learn the basics when you get over there.

Thanks I have been before, so, I do know the basics. Im getting a few hours of private tuition each day this time, so I hope it should have me pretty good by the end of it.
