Any list for ther best and worst countries playerwise in online poker?

Be interested to see a list of this. I'd suspect to see the Scandies near the top, I'd imagine we're somewhere around the middle - we'd probably be higher if we weren't playing p1ssed so much. Think I'd know who would be at the bottom too but best not to say here

Id say it's a close one between the French and Italians, however the French wouldn't really have alot of money to lose to start with...so im going to say Italy.

You will not find any such lists published for number of reasons, one being data protection.

Im sure you could probably get small samples though.

hard to say who's best as they never say where they are from.... but I guess some of the scandies can be tough at times.. but there are bad ones too

read this thread with my French coffee for some reason i thought this was biggest losers.

The French are clearly the worst players, the game is very young over here, the poker boom is only kicking in here now really due to recent legislative changes.

Probably why im such a donk, i have some French in me.

No doubt about it the French are the worst, followed closely by the Germans and Italians. I'd say the scandies are fairly tough opponents they seem to know what there're doing anyway.
I dunno why the french are so bad, didn't they create the game of poker!? Bit like the english and cricket I suppose.

I'm in shock that everyone thinks the scandies are the best. They have some good players playing at higher levels purely through their high numbers but the vast majority are enormous fish, just as bad as the french.

Having said that I would probably agree that the Fins always seem solid.

For those who play on a European facing network it's very salient that the French are awful because there are a lot of them now. But my experience is that the Italians, although less of them, are even worse. The Germans are very poor in a passive calling station kind of way unlike the French who have a proclivity for pushing all with with rubbish.

I think it's really interesting profiling the play of players from different countries. Obviously the most important factor is how long poker had been popular in that country, but I think that the culture is also a factor, as is what kind of sites traffic them through the network (gambling sites or pure poker sites). Are the popular poker books translated into lots of languages do you think?

My experience of Israelis on the old Tribeca network was that they were pure gamblers, I don't think they are allowed play on Ipoker though.

I used to find that English players were calling stations, I got the feeling that it was an insult to their British pride to fold a hand. The Irish tend to be awful lagtards to be honest, we have a lot of gamblers who dabble in it.

What I'm looking forward to is when the Japanese get into the game, and they will 100%. I'm familiar with their enthusiasm for certain other card games, and they will be hardcore players which will make it very profitable to play them early on in their development, and then they will crush us after a year or two

I don't find the Scandies anywhere near as fishy as the French tbh, at least not most of the ones I have played, not even close in my book. And even when they are of the more fishy variety they tend to have aggression in their game, which makes them less straightforward to deal with. There's always exceptions of course. I think the thing is the Scandies have been playing online poker for a long while now too (just like us and The Brits) that gives them an advantage over contenental Europe where the boom only kicked off recently.

I would agree that the Finns(pseudo Scandies) are the best of them though.
