In game medics

    Saw this on a US sites website. Thought it was a better way of working the medic. Especially since the medic has to stay with the out person untill they untie the rope. Leaves them open to fire, and adds more realism.

    What do ye think? Worth trying out?

    Heres the rules:

    One (1) shot to any part of a player’s body or gear is a “hit.” Gun hits do not count; ricochets do not count. Each army will have a designated number of medics; medics may not change during an ongoing scenario, but may be changed out in between scenarios. Each player will be given a rope to tie to their gear; each player will be instructed to tie (3) knots in the rope. If a player is hit, he must display his “red rag” and yell “hit” or “out”, sit down and wait for the medic. Once the medic arrives, the medic will untie one of the knots in the rope; the player is “Return To Duty”. If the medic is unable to tend to the wounded player within (5) minutes, that player may return to the respawn area (without untying any knots). Once all (3) knots on a players rope have been untied, that player is “Killed In Action”; they must wait in place for (5) minutes and then return to the respawn area. Once at the respawn area, players may only return to the action in groups of four (4).

    The idea of medics was discussed before. That system seems good but there would want to be a fairly large number of people playing for it to work. Even then it would only work with certain scenarios.

    its an intresting idea , but with our numbers as they are its kinda difficult to run ,first getting everybody on the page ,then we would need more marshals to observe every move the medics make , the regen works quite well

    Havn't actually played a game with medic's involved myself, but i like these rules seem good and better then an instant all healing touch on the shoulder.

    that sounds pretty good alright, but those medic rules would only work for large scale games that would go on for 2 hours at least, if it's just a quick 20-30min game, then it's not really worth all the hassle

    That could be very usefull in drogheda as its very large site and getting back to the safezone can be a pain in the ass!

    Medics can make the game though but you really need the numbers. I dropped four of these down to HRTA a few weeks ago Medic Bands hopefully we'll have some more games as medics

    2 min revive when we played in the old hrta. Meant that if you killed the medic you had 2 mins to wipe out the rest before he weant on a healing spree.
