    That's very interesting Luckat. I've played with the flexible panels that are available to the sailing community, but they are very expensive - this new product would seem to offer a much more affordable alternative to the more conventional rigid (and therfore fragile) PV panel.

    Wonder when it'll be available.

    I'd love to get my house winter-proofed, including solar hot water, but at the moment the technology all seems a bit woolly-socks let's-try-this-out for me to afford to play with it.

    Some more info on this type of foil panel here.

    It uses Copper indium gallium selenide which has been mentioned on this board previously, unfortunately commercial production has hit some snags so it looks like we will be waiting a little longer before they become a commercial reality.
