    Evening all.

Will be upgrading to a 25kW bike in January and was looking at the restricted Hyosung GV650 in Bikeworld.
    http://www.hyosung.co.uk/detail.php?id=2

Anybody riding one of these or have any opinions?

    Thanks
    Wavey.

From a resale point of view... stick to Jap.

gsxr1, Where did you hear that?
I've only seen good reviews on the web. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough though!

    Completely untrue.

New company to the international market, they're selling the bikes cheap and paying particular attention to quality as its the only way of breaking into the market and competing with the big four.

I don't own one myself, but i haven't heard much that would indicate they're anything but good.

That said, Run_to_da_hills is right about resale value, the brand hasn't made a name for itself yet so the depreciation is fairly steep.

If you plan to run it into the ground, ie. not try to resell it later, i say go for it.

The Important thing you have to think about, is getting it repaired /serviced when the warrenty runs out. (remember the possibility that you are going to be stuck with it) If there is a soul agent / destributer they have the tendency to fleece you on labour and parts. Most independant mechanics dont want to know about these bikes and wont touch them.

I think it looks great, and it's even better in the flesh

I have seen them in all there different models and they just look cheap.

mate of mine has a 250 comet thingy and its just rusty.

Horrible suspenders with little or no adjustment. Bad brakes and bad untidy castings.

    why not get an SV?
