    Anyone know of a nice hotel in Clare, Mayo, Limerick, basically anywhere within easy reach of Galway for a romantic break?

    I'm looking to get a voucher for a weekend getaway for two of my friends who just got engaged. Any suggestions?

    the clarion hotel in limerick is nice and ive alwasy gone there on offers such as 2 nights and an evening meal for 99 pps so check for offers
    its 4 star only new nice restaurant room service, is good and they have a leisure centre
    its on steamboat quay - not too far fom jurys but much nicer than jurys

    Galway Bay Hotel seems to be nice enough, never been there but know of it and people who went there for a wedding.

    The Galway Bay is indeed a nice hotel but it's about 300 yards from where the guy grew up so it's out!

    The Clarion looks quite nice but it seems like a fairly corporate, was hoping for somewhere a little more romantic...

    Sligo park hotel? I went for a nice weekend there this time last year. They had 2 nights 1 dinner offers then anyway. It has a pool, steam room and jacuzzi too. We went to this seaweed bath place too which was pretty cool. You sit in a bath surrounded by specially grown seaweed and it's fab for your skin. Ok, it's more romantic then it sounded! I thought Yeats country was fairly romantic and untamed too!
