    Hi

Thank you for your email in regards to accessing adult content using the mobile broadband service. I was unable to call you as you’ve not mentioned any of your contact details.

I understand that you’ve verified your age but are still unable to access adult sites on the mobile broadband service. All the websites that 3 provide access to are filtered. Even though age verification is done you’ll still be unable to access adult sites.

However I’ll take this as a valuable feedback and forward it to the relevant team. We might get a positive feedback from them.

It is unfortunate that as a valued customer your experience with 3 has not met with your expectations. We are in a constant process of improving our products and services and are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with you as a 3 customer. I hope this answers your query.

If you have any further queries, feel free to call our customer service by dialing 333 from a 3 phone (free of charge) or 083 333 3333 (charged at applicable mobile rates).

    Regards Perpetual Remedios
    3 Customer Services

solution is pretty simple really, vote with your feet and move to a different supplier. i think thats a load of ****e.

though with that said define "adult content". as there are varying degrees ;)

anything that can even be construed as having adult content is blocked! even the google and yahoo searches wont allow dick or cock any other double entendres haha

this is now being done to prevent people using the service as they are still trying to save bandwidth for data-modem customers!

Are you talking about accessing the net from your mobile?

If you are then 3's net access from the phone has always been a 'walled garden' setup. It's been that way from day 1 and common knowledge. You can only visit sites that they want you to.

Or do you mean net access from data modem?

on my phone! i was able to access loads of sites before their upgrade but now they are all blocked by that internet powered by yahoo page! this is to save bandwidth for their data modem customers!

Is it possible to open a ssh connection on 3 and use that as a tunnel?

just been on to india again as just noticed that no sites are blocked on bill-pay accounst it is only PRE-PAY accounts that the three facists are nobbling!

i am age-verified yet they still block sites which might have adult content but i can still access loads of porn sites while other completely innocent sites are blocked so it is more likely they are only blocking sites with high bandwidth usage!

its the same as stopping the service and they are still charging full price for this crap!!!

asked mumbai to list all sites which are blocked and all/any other restrictions placed on my age-verified account! it is in the post but the person said he could not guarantee that i would recieve it!

Might be because they have no real way of tracking someone who might be viewing adult stuff while on the pay-as-you-go type deals. Can be totally anonymous. In turn they leave themselves open for legal responsibility if they cannot show who downloaded what, when or if questioned by the church, sorry, government.

would accept this lame excuse if all the other networks were blocking the same content for their adult customers

but three are not blocking all these sites for their bill-pay customers and anyone could also be viewing stuff on a bill-pay phone and if there is any questioning about what was viewed the registered owner is not liable as the phone might not always be in their possession!

I believe the registered owner is responsible ... isn't this the great debate about someone accessing your home wifi?

yes it was the case for a long time that if you owned a phone you would be responsible for all costs and also if someone took or borrowed it to detonate a bomb or worse

but if someone robbed the phone and did something before you report your phone missing...

there are so many instances of this not working it is generally accepted that ownership is not seen as intent to do any wrong!

if i own a car and loan it to someone else i cant be held responsible for thier actions unless of course they are uninsured! it is now the same for mobile phones!

also by me getting myself age verified with three it takes the responsibility off their shoulders but this was never the reason for blocking any sites it is being done purely to allow data modem customers a better experience untill the heat is off three!
