I have that mouse as well, has a really nice precision feel to it, and the scroll wheels are excellent, espeically the left and right mouse wheel clicks :)

This forum is worse than Nazi Germany.... I think it's time for a break away forum for use that talk of apple in a less than glorifying way...

Mighty mouse is pants.. I went through 3 of them in the first 4 months I'd an iMac. Been using the logitech ever since... Far far better

Not sure how tongue-in-cheek this was meant to be, but surely this bit of charter was designed to prevent flame wars? Sharing opinions on non-Apple hardware that is compatible with a Mac and may help other Mac users out doesn't strike me as being contrary to the charter. I mean we allow Safari vs Firefox debates and the like, I don't see how this is any different.

Right, I think I'm gonna invest in this logitech MX Revolution, it looks terrific.

In fairness to the Mighty Mouse, it is nice bit of kit if you need something light weight to travel with, that said I much prefer my Logitech.

Looks like a great mouse... but the price

I had my eye on the MX Revolution but the Logitech Control Centre is unstable in Tiger and is one of the programs that causes the blue screen of death in Leopard. The mouse itself is not that much more expensive but when you factor in the cost something like Steermouse (to replace LCC) so you can actually use the things advanced features it does get a bit intimidating.

i think it certainly was tongue-in-cheek

Yeah I reckoned so - still, you never know when a mod's suddenly gonna go power mad, even the venerable 400Hz :p

Oh if anyone's interested to know why I'm up at 2am, I'm installing Windows on a family PC. Have been since around 10.30. So yes, I'm firmly of the opinion that Apple is better. Apple = sleep :p

lmfao! not likely. Get to know me better! When have I ever put my mod hat on here unless there was a seriously good reason for it. When needs be, yes, but the rest of the time Im just... urgh whatever. Too tired to think of a proper description

You are obviously doing something wrong then. It has never taken me more than an hour to do a fresh install, get my settings back to the way I like them and have the main programmes installed. And no I don't use a slipstreamed install disc or anything like Norton Ghost or any other disk imaging software.

I have 440hz on ignore so the only comments I see are in quotes, but jesus - <self-edit>...
Any time anybody says anything bad about Apple she chirps up with that crap and then pretends to be using in tongue-in-cheek when people slate her for it.

Once again I'm going to chime in on this mouse topic by reccommending the Razer |Pro Solutions Mouse Razer |Pro Click. Really a fantastic mouse with great drivers (I've had no issues at all with it on any of my macs. Programmable buttons, feels nice and smooth. One issue for some people will the that it's wired. All in all though a great mouse, it is a grip of money though.

I'd like to see a touch pad on the top of a mouse - no moving parts, no cleaning.

I,m glad to see the back of my wireless mighty mouse too. Was o k for a few months till it would stop scrolling up. got 2 more replacements which ended up the same way. Then an apple tech guy told me to clean the button and that would cure it. which it did but i had to do this every 2 weeks!!! Before the warranty ran out i rang them up and got a refund.I am back using my old microsoft wheel mouse which i have never had to clean ever.If anything ever does happen to it i will probably go with a logitec.

    Agreed.

Also, on numerous occasions I have stated that personal digs at any members are not tolerated here, see the charter. I have also asked nicely for this to cease. So Oriel, you can take this as an official 'one more strike'...

I always knew I was lacking in something - ya' see, I have 2 mighty Mouses (Mice ?? ) and I love them !! I have a wired on my desktop and a wireless in my MBP bag.

The scroll wheel had gotten dirty and unusable 2 times in the 9 months I've had it on the desktop (MBP mouse works fine so far), rolling it over some clean printer paper cured it each time. For me it's the simplicity and the ergonomics (and the fact that I'm probably a Mac Slut ?!:o).

I had a microsoft Wireless Scroll Mouse 2.0 previously and thought it was too ugly and bulky on the desk.

    ZEN

My brother-in-law sent me this in the post today Logitech Trackball. Works great on my iMac. I used trackballs almost exclusively when I was in college, I'm beginning to remember why I liked them so much.

Well you've been reported by two users for this post.
Last chance - any more personal abuse and you're banned.

Remember - this thread is about a COMPUTER MOUSE.
