Chorus tv3 and tg4 picture problem

    We have a 4:3 tv and chorus digital.
    The problem is with tv3 the picture is stretched and everything looks too wide and short.
    I don't watch films on that channel anymore because I find it too annoying.
    It looks ridiculous to me.

    On tg4 the picture is stetched vertically so everything looks too long and narrow.

    Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Is there a setting in your digital box for changing between 16:9 and 4:3 ?

    Yes I tried that before and it doesn't help

    have same problem here in limerick. on the city chorus but, since installation of new cables tv3 and tg4 are stretched and tall.

    I had this problem and spent forever changing the setting both on the chorus box and my TV, turns out that Chorus get TV3 and TG4 from analogue and it's not smart enough to switch between 4:3 and 16:9 itself and Chorus transmit it in 16:9, so I live with it :(
