Problems with iPoker...

    Hey all,

For the past day I've been trying to get started on GJP and Titan, but am having huge problems logging in and when in, staying connected for longer than 2 or 3 minutes. Both clients tell me they are unable to reach the gaming servers. I'm about to give up on iPoker for a while - anyone else have problems like this? I'm using an NTL broadband connection, if that matters.

Back to Stars for the night...

Has your security device/firewall had any updates recently?

My antivirus / shield (AVG) was updated two days ago. I think I'm using Windows Firewall as well, plus there is a firewall on the wi-fi router too.

at a time convenient to you, disable the firewalls to test it, and have a quick game, I am nearly sure they are the cause of it from your description

The only reason you'd be getting that error is if a) your connection is not strong enough to comunicate with the server( lagging to bits) or b) a firewalls is blocking the signal.

If your firewall was blocking the connection you would not even be able to make an initial connection...

It's probably poor routing to their servers, i would advise rebooting your router as this should allocate you a new ip address, having said that im not entirely sure what type of IPs NTL use.
