Might be worth ringing a few shops in Newry/Belfast and taking a spin up there.

    Game, NEwry : 0044 28 302 57948
    Argos Newry: 0044 845 1657 857
    Gamestop Newry 0044 28 302 52200
    HMV Newry 0044 28 3025 3690

    Good Luck

Ok, I'm 99% sure here, but I need to be 100% as the little one is involved. If I import a Wii Remote from Canada will it work on a European Wii??

Getting the Wii was tough, but a remote... Not in this country!!!:D

Just got confirmation from Komplett my order has been shipped.

I ordered on the 20/11 and mine was just shipped, the date changed from the 22/11 to the 26/11 but today it finally got shipped. Over the normal price but its for xmas and an overpriced wii is better than no wii.

Would a wii bought in the states work here?

Ye-es, but you'll need a power transformer to plug it in without frying it, and it'll only play US games.

Try this guy on eBay. I've read good reports about him on the Amazon wii forums. He's in Germany but he's including an Irish power adaptor with it and he accepts PayPal (which is seldom for German sellers). He has 80 odd at the moment. €285 plus €20 postage to Ireland.
