Just be aware that their customer service is abysmal.

Must admit on the rare occasions I've had to deal with Creative CS
I've found them well above the norm for the industry. (Feedback on
the Portable Media Player board here seems similar). I'd no hassle getting
an RMA for a Stone with a dodgy battery a couple of months back,
I'd a new replacement on my desk withing a week of posting off the
faulty unit and I could track the progress online. Now if you look at
    how Archos operate in comparison...

I probably was the odd one out. Still, three months to get a refund organized and finalized...

Can I ask the biggest novice question ever? What exactly is a refurb model???

sorry if thats the thickest question ever!!!

Its when someone returns a product for whatever reason, it gets checked/repaired in the factory & then its classed as a refurb.

So you might get one that someone had for a year, with tonnes of scratches. More likely though you'll get one near perfect.

This seems like a good deal too. Not sure if both are refurbs, or just the VISION:M.

Bought a couple of refurbished 2gb Zen V's from there a few months back. After two weeks, the screen was broken on one (Completely black) and the navigation button was broken on the other.

On the other hand my own 4 year old 20gb Zen touch is still going strong.

I gotta say I found their customer service better than most too. I bought an old Nomad Zen from the states a few years back and when i had problems with it they repaired it for me in Ireland, no questions asked. Last year I bought a Vision M that died after 11 months, I returned it and recieved a replacement fairly promptly.
